Youth Work
Over the years Base 51 has supported over 50,000 young people at various points in their journey towards adulthood.
​
The Training Academy aims to support those who work in youth work settings, providing valuable support to young people, yet may have had limited or no opportunity for professionalising their role with accredited training. We also aim to train those who aspire to get into youth work and our lower courses are ideal for this.
​
We offer SEG accredited courses from the Level 2 Award to the Level 3 Diploma which are suitable for a range of different people – whether you’re just starting out in youth work or have prior experience.

Counselling
Base 51 has seen a growing demand for mental health support in Nottingham and around the county. Our own youth counselling services have been at the forefront of this challenge.

Whether you work in private practice, a hospital or clinic, a school or university, or a charity, counselling is a career that offers endless opportunities for personal and professional growth.
​
Counselling courses can also be great for those working in person-centred roles looking to learn the skills to help support others and improve communication and listening skills.
​
New to 2024, we offer the AIM accredited Level 2 Award in Introduction to Counselling Skills and the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills.
